If weak in prayer, we are weak everywhere. — Leonard Ravenhill
Often we as Christians find it hard to pray there are various reasons why. But ultimately whatever they are or however we rationalize them they are all ultimately self will and pride the seed beds of all sin. I have found when I least feel like praying that is when I need it most and if I wait till I feel "good enough" to pray I will never pray. Another way to supplement a weak prayer life is Scripture reading God's word fortifies the Child of God and is much like the bread or food one would take for a long journey. Sometimes the valley times are when we are closest to God. The mountain peaks will pass one can not rely on emotion alone to sustain yourself spiritually. It is not asking much for one to pray for 10 or 15 minutes I have neglected this and instead allowed the idols of leisure and entertainment to overtake my spiritual life. This is sadly not uncommon it is easier to coast spiritually then work your salvation out with fear and trembling. To be revived in The Spirit does not mean you have to have some sort of Pentecostal second work of The Holy Ghost or go around stumbling like an wino or barking like a dog or howling like a wolf as some the extreme Pentecostal teachers would have you. Revival is actually a much more mundane affair it is waiting on the Lord and being faithful to Him and communicating and supping with Him in His Word and in prayer. The Lord will not leave His children begging bread He will feed His children that's a fact.
