O Come Come Immanuel

O Come Come Immanuel is an old Christmas hymn but I find the title evocative also of Our Saviour's Second Coming for His Church prior to The Tribulation in the Rapture (see 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and Revelation 3:10 and 4:1.)It is important to remember in this Christmas season that we remember two things this world is not our home so going out and spending exorbitant amounts on Christmas gifts is pointless because you cant take it with you when you die and the second thing to remember is as John MacArthur put it Christmas is ugly that the birth of Christ was necessary for He who was wrapped in swaddling clothes to one day be crucified suffer die and be wrapped in the burial shroud that is the shadow of Christmas do not forget each day is a gift so use it to the best of your abilities to further the Kingdom and serve your King. With that being said Marry Christmas to all and remember Jesus is The Reason for the seasons earth sun moon stars and your very existence.
